A true master at the edible art, he has been tremendously successful at teaching his staff of top notch sushi chefs from all over the globe his original approach to the classic cuisine. Alvaro Gonzales (Executive Restaurant Chef), originally a member of The Marriott’s culinary team, took the reigns of CHOMP in 2002 and designed the new “Pacific Rim Chophouse” style for Riptide. His twenty years of experience has seen him cooking with “The Masters” as well as several celebrities including two Presidents over the years. He is the consummate professional whose attention to the slightest detail of our food operation is unparalleled.

Khai Giang (Executive Teppanyaki Chef) affectionately known as “Budweiser Ken” is a certified legend when it comes to Southern California teppanyaki chefs. The best of the best! Without a doubt the most requested teppan chef in the history of the cuisine. Budweiser Ken will make any occasion a complete party! His staff has adopted his infectious energy and has built our establishments into favorite destinations for large parties.
